Story titles, prompts, and genre selections you provide when using the AI Stories feature. This data is sent to OpenAI (a third-party AI service) to generate story content. Generated chapters are stored locally on your device. The app asks for your explicit consent before sending any data to OpenAI.
All your data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's secure SwiftData framework. We do not have access to your data.
We do not upload, store, or process your personal data on any external servers.
When you delete the app, all your data is permanently removed from your device.
When you search for books, your search query is sent to Open Library (openlibrary.org) to retrieve book information. Open Library is a non-profit project of the Internet Archive.
We may also use Google Books API to fetch book covers and metadata. Your search queries are sent to Google's servers.
What data is sent: When you use the AI Stories feature, your story title, selected genre, and the prompt text you write are sent to OpenAI's servers (openai.com) to generate story content. No other personal data (such as your books, reading history, profile information, notes, or achievements) is included in these requests.
Who receives it: This data is sent to OpenAI, a third-party AI service provider, via their secure API. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
User consent: The app asks for your explicit permission before sending any data to OpenAI. You can choose not to use the AI Stories feature, and no data will be sent to any AI service.
OpenAI's data handling: When data is sent via the API, OpenAI does not use it to train their models. OpenAI processes the data according to their privacy policy and terms of use.
ISBN barcode scanning is performed entirely on your device. No images or scan data leave your device.
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as screen views, feature usage, and app performance. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve your experience. No personal reading data is sent.
We display ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier and collect data such as device type, OS version, and general location to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
We use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. You will be asked for permission before any cross-app tracking occurs. You can change this anytime in Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
Your books, notes, ratings, and reading progress are never sent to analytics, advertising, or AI services. Only the story prompts you explicitly write in the AI Stories feature are sent to OpenAI, with your consent.
You can use the app fully without creating an account or providing personal information.
We ask your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency before any cross-app tracking. You can deny or revoke this anytime.
Export your complete library and reading history anytime via Profile > Data Management.
Delete all app data instantly through Settings or by deleting the app.
Edit or remove any book, note, rating, or personal information at any time.
The app works offline for reading and tracking. Internet is needed for book search, AI features, and ads.
Protect your reading data with Face ID, Touch ID, or a custom PIN code.
Your data benefits from iOS's built-in encryption when your device is locked.
We use Apple's SwiftData framework which provides secure, sandboxed data storage.
The app is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
There are no social features, chat, or ways to communicate with other users.
